The Hoover Technology Roundtable is an informal group of technologists and interested parties formed by City Councilor Mike Shaw in 2017. Since then it has grown into a collaboration between city government and local leaders, including Hoover Economic Developer Greg Knighton.
The are 3 goals:
- Create a community of companies based in Hoover and individuals who live in Hoover
- Create a two-way channel of information between Hoover-based companies and Hoover City Government
- Provide opportunities for the tech community to see first hand the great things happening in Hoover, particularly things related to tech and related fields
